What a Residential Cleanout Can Include
A useful estimate describes the property by area instead of relying on one total item count. Walk through the property once and note what is located in each space.
Bedrooms and Closets
Beds, dressers, nightstands, clothing, boxes, lamps, and closet contents can create more volume than photographs suggest. Open doors for estimate photos, but remove private documents and valuables first.
Living and Dining Areas
Identify sofas, recliners, tables, entertainment furniture, rugs, shelving, and boxed household contents. Tell us if oversized furniture must pass through narrow doors, stairs, or shared hallways.
Kitchen and Laundry Areas
Separate ordinary household contents from appliances that require preparation. Refrigerators must be emptied, and connected appliances must be safely disconnected before hauling.
Basements and Attics

The person scheduling the cleanout is responsible for confirming that they have permission to remove the property being identified for disposal. This is especially important for rentals, evictions, foreclosures, inherited properties, shared homes, and business locations.
Rental or Tenant Property
Complete your required possession and property-handling process before scheduling removal. Zach's Pack does not decide whether tenant belongings are abandoned.
Inherited or Shared Property

Remove the Approved Contents
We lift, carry, load, and haul the items included in the confirmed scope. Keep areas and undecided items remain outside the active work.
Review the Included Areas
Before the job is closed, the authorized contact should review the areas covered by the agreement and identify any approved item that may have been missed.
Plan Any Remaining Work
A content cleanout does not automatically include deep cleaning, repairs, demolition, or removal from areas that were not part of the original scope.

The same amount of material can require a different plan depending on occupancy, stairs, parking, building rules, and who will be present.

How Removed Contents Are Handled
Once the customer approves an item for removal, its next step depends on condition, material type, safety, and the options available at the time of the job. Items that are genuinely reusable may have different options from broken, contaminated, incomplete, or heavily worn belongings.
Donation and recycling cannot be guaranteed for every item. If something has financial, sentimental, or family importance, keep it out of the removal area rather than relying on it to be recovered after loading.
Do not place fuels, chemicals, liquids, medications, pressurized cylinders, biohazards, or unknown containers in a general cleanout pile. Photograph and disclose questionable material before scheduling so acceptance can be confirmed.
