Curbside or Full-Service Removal?
Curbside Pickup
Choose curbside pickup when you can safely move the approved items to an accessible outdoor pickup point before the scheduled arrival window.
- Items are already outside
- No stairs or indoor carrying
- The pickup area is easy to reach
- Photos clearly show the complete load
- No one needs to enter the home
- The items can remain outside until collected
Full-Service Removal
Choose full-service junk removal when the items are still inside, too heavy to move safely, located upstairs or in a basement, or require the crew to carry them through the property.
- Items remain inside the home
- Stairs or elevators are involved
- Furniture needs to be carried out
- Appliances require careful removal
- Multiple rooms or areas are involved
- The customer should not move the items alone
Do not risk injury or property damage just to qualify for curbside service.
Zach's Pack can provide full-service removal when moving the items yourself is not practical.
Put the Pickup Where It Can Be Reached Without Entering the Property
House and Garage
Curbside service does not include carrying items from rooms, basements, upstairs areas, or the back of the property.
Driveway
Keep the route between the street and pickup area open. Do not block the load with parked vehicles, locked gates, or other obstacles.
Approved Pickup Area
Place the items together in the location confirmed during scheduling. This may be near the curb, at the driveway edge, or in another clearly accessible area.
Public Walkway and Street
Do not place items where they block sidewalks, traffic, storm drains, mailboxes, fire hydrants, utility equipment, or neighboring property.
The customer is responsible for following local set-out rules and keeping the items on their property or in another legally permitted location until pickup.
One Visible Pickup Area Makes the Scope Clear
Curbside quotes are based on the items shown and described before arrival. Keeping everything together makes it easier to understand the load, identify special materials, and confirm that the pickup matches the estimate.
Keep It Together
Unless another arrangement is confirmed, place the approved items in one organized pickup area instead of scattering them along the driveway or property.
Keep Small Pieces Contained
Place lightweight household clutter and small loose pieces in sturdy bags, boxes, or containers that can be lifted without spilling.
Make Every Item Visible
Do not hide loose debris inside furniture, appliances, closed containers, or opaque bags without describing the contents.
Separate Special Materials
Keep appliances, electronics, mattresses, tires, yard debris, construction material, and other unusual items visible so they can be reviewed correctly.
Protect the Pickup From Spreading
Prevent loose paper, lightweight plastic, and small debris from blowing into the road or neighboring property while the pile waits for collection.
Do not tell customers to lift, drag, or move anything they cannot handle safely.
Three Useful Photos Tell Us More Than Ten Close-Ups
The Wide View
Stand far enough back to show the entire pickup area in one photo. This helps establish the overall volume and confirms that nothing is outside the frame.
The Side View
Photograph the pile from another angle so its depth and height are visible. Include the driveway, curb, or access route when possible.
The Detail View
Show labels, damage, dense material, appliances, mattresses, electronics, sharp objects, or anything that may require special handling.
If additional items are added after the quote, send updated photos before pickup. A larger or materially different load may require a revised price or separate approval.
Pricing remains subject to confirmation when the actual pickup is viewed.
Common Curbside Pickup Projects
Furniture Ready at the Driveway
Couches, chairs, tables, dressers, shelving, and other furniture that has already been moved to the approved pickup point.
Mattresses and Box Springs
Mattresses and box springs placed outside and kept accessible for the scheduled pickup.
Disconnected Appliances
Approved appliances that have been emptied, disconnected, and moved to the pickup area before arrival.
Bagged or Boxed Household Clutter
Clothing, decorations, toys, kitchen items, and ordinary household clutter contained in manageable bags or boxes.
Bulk Items After a Cleanout
Bulk items already sorted and brought outside during a move, garage cleanup, rental turnover, or household cleanout.
Outdoor Items
Approved lawn furniture, grills, planters, play equipment, and other outdoor belongings placed near the driveway or curb.
These are examples, not an automatic acceptance list. Item condition, weight, material, local disposal requirements, and the complete load must still be reviewed.

What Must Be Confirmed Before the Truck Arrives?
Pickup Address
Confirm the correct property address and any instructions needed to locate the pile.
Approved Items
The items outside should match the photos and description used for the estimate.
Pickup Location
Identify whether the load is at the curb, driveway edge, accessible garage opening, or another confirmed location.
Access Status
The route should be clear of vehicles, locked gates, pets, and other obstacles.
Customer Availability
Confirm whether someone will be present or whether an approved contactless pickup arrangement has been made.
Price and Payment
The scope, price, and payment arrangements should be confirmed before the items are removed.
Weather and Condition
Report significant changes such as soaked material, snow coverage, fallen debris, or items that have been moved since the estimate.
Contactless pickup may be available when the items, location, price, access, and payment arrangements have all been confirmed in advance. Do not promise that every pickup can be completed without the customer present.
Curbside Service Is Scheduled Hauling—not Municipal Collection
It does not mean: Unlimited Items
The approved price covers the reviewed load. Newly added items may change the required trailer space, labor, disposal cost, or scheduling.
It does not mean: Indoor Carry-Out
Items that remain inside, upstairs, in a basement, or behind an inaccessible area require full-service removal.
It does not mean: Permanent Street Storage
Items should not be placed in the street or left where they violate local rules, obstruct traffic, or create a neighborhood hazard.
It does not mean: Automatic Acceptance
Being placed at the curb does not make an item acceptable. Material type and disposal requirements still apply.
It does not mean: Municipal Bulk Collection
Zach's Pack Hauling is a private scheduled hauling service. It is separate from city or township trash and bulk-item collection.
Why Curbside Pickup Can Cost Less
Curbside service may reduce labor when the approved items are already outside, consolidated, and directly accessible from the truck or trailer. The final price still depends on what is being removed.
Volume
How much trailer space the complete pickup occupies.
Weight
Dense material may cost more to handle and dispose of than ordinary household items of the same size.
Item Type
Mattresses, appliances, electronics, tires, and other materials may have specific disposal costs.
Organization
A contained, visible pickup area is easier to load than scattered or hidden material.
Access
Carrying distance, slopes, gates, parked vehicles, and blocked routes can increase labor.
Changes After Quoting
Additional items or a different pile may require a revised price before loading begins.
Curbside savings come from reduced carrying and property access—not from ignoring the weight, disposal requirements, or actual size of the load.
Leave the Heavy Carrying to the Pack When You Need To
Curbside pickup is convenient when the set-out work is already complete. Full-service removal is often the better choice when moving the items would require stairs, multiple people, disassembly, difficult turns, or a risk of injury or property damage.
